Mike Panter is the Founder, President, and CEO of Southern Financial Consultants, Inc., which he established in Blue Ridge, Georgia, in October 1983. With over four decades in the insurance and financial services industry, Mike brings deep experience and a strong commitment to helping clients plan for their future with confidence.
Mike is an advocate for the industry, and he specializes in insurance, investments, retirement and estate planning strategies, offering personalized solutions to meet each client’s unique goals. Mike has qualified consistently over the last 40 years for awards, conferences, and other recognitions reflecting his dedication and performance in the industry.
A proud U.S. Army Veteran and recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, Mike is also deeply involved in his community. He is vice chairman for the North Georgia Veterans Assistance Foundation Inc., a two-time past president of the Kiwanis Club, and has spent over 30 years coaching youth sports—from basketball and baseball to football and soccer. Mike is also the founder and director of a youth golf program for kids in the North Georgia area.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia. He holds a LUTCF designation, is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table, and is licensed in life & health insurance, variable life, and variable annuities. He also holds Series 6 and 63 securities licenses.

Qualifying membership in the MDRT is based on minimum commission and gross business generated within a year. Each MDRT status designation is granted for one year only. All members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with the Million Dollar Round Table. Third-party rankings and recognitions are no guarantee of future investment success and do not ensure that a client or prospective client will experience a higher level of performance or results. Life members must annually submit an application and pay dues.
