Susan Vardeman recently joined Southern Financial Consultants in March 2015 after obtaining her life and health insurance license. As a client of the firm since 1986 her insurance, retirement, and financial planning needs have been handled with a caring personal touch. Her focus will be assisting individuals as well as small business owners in developing and strategically planning for their insurance needs.
She retired from Young Harris College after 20 years of service to run her dance studio full time for 7 years before moving on to this new career. She has a Doctorate of Education from the University of Georgia. She and her husband, Kirk, have owned Hiawassee Animal Hospital since 1989. They have three daughters. She is an active member of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of the Towns County Chamber of Commerce.
